Sofia is enrolled at UCLA. Sofia stated in an interview with Access Live in May 2019 that “education has always been a huge part of my life and for my parents.

” They always said they would support me unconditionally, but I had to go to school and finish my education. “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to even attend college,”

While appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan to promote her upcoming Netflix film Purple Hearts, which was released on July 29, 2022, Sofia revealed that she only has one full year of classes left.

“I guess I’m still technically enrolled at UCLA because I have nine classes left to graduate, which is a full year,” Sofia explained.

“I took time off, you know, my career, fortunately, started well with Descendants, and now here we are with Purple Hearts,” she continued. “But the plan is that I eventually want to take a year off and finish.”

Sofia went on to say that she studies “communications and international relations.”

Sofia’s international relations studies have undoubtedly come in handy as she is a UNICEF Ambassador.
