American comedian and television personality, Sherri Shepherd underwent emergency surgery due to appendicitis. She was scheduled to make her debut appearance as the host of The Wendy Williams Show but had to go remove her appendix in an emergency situation.

“With some alterations, this would’ve been my opening dress day for @wendyshow but my stomach is swollen from the surgeons removing my appendix,” she wrote in a social media post.

“I tried it on and swore I heard the dress screen  ‘Bissssh what do you think you’re doing!’ My stylist is frantically shopping for a loose & flowing dress right now! Saints… pray for me! Can’t wait to see you,” she added.

Sherri Shepherd shared that she did not have a breast reduction surgery. However, she lost 20 lbs.

“My arms feel like rubber, my legs feel like rubber, I want to cry, but I am determined to make it through this class, cause you gotta remember your ‘why’. Why are you doing this? Why are you trying to lose weight?” she said.
