American Jazz singer, Samara Joy won two Grammy Awards at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony which was held on February 6, 2023. She took home the New Artist of the Year award and Jazz Vocal Album of the year with her second album, Linger Awhile.

After she received the award, she gave a heartwarming acceptance speech.

“I’ve been watching y’all on TV for so long. All of you are so inspiring to me, so to be here just by being myself, by just being who I was born as, I’m so thankful,” she said.

Joy released her debut album in 2021, a self-titled album when she was still in college. She then released her acclaimed sophomore Linger Awhile. The album has 10 songs on it. Some of the songs include;

- Can’t Get Out of This Mood.
- Nostalgia (The Day I Knew)
- Misty.
- I’m Confessin’ (That I Love You)
