Former baseball center fielder, Rick Manning go married to Dennis Eckersley’s first wife Denise. Eckersley once shared that his close friend “stole his wife.”

“I was hurt at first but Denise and I were kids when we got married. We were 18 and didn’t know anything. What hurt was being separated from my daughter, Mandee,” Eckersley shared.
Dennis Eckersley and Denise got married in 1973 and had their first child Mandee Eckersley. However, in 1978 there was news that Denise Manning was having an affair, which lead to her divorce from the baseball pitcher.

In 2018, Eckersley was asked if he was ever betrayed by anyone he was close to or had his heart broken, he shared that his wife was stolen by his close friend.
“I don’t care about the rivalry. I had a real close friend who stole my wife, how about that?” He said.
Eckersley is now married to his third wife, Jennifer, after having two children with his second wife Nancy.
