American singer and record producer, Nile Rodgers worked with the legendary pop king, Michael Jackson before his time of death. He played on MJ’s song, ‘Money.’ Rodgers has shared that, MJ was the reason why he re-entered the music industry in the 1990s after he was invited by him to the 1995 album “HIStory.”

“24 years ago when I stopped playing music for around eight months, I got a call from Michael Jackson to come down to the studio and work with him on his album ‘HIStory.’ He was a good friend at the time and thanks to him that I got back into the music industry,” he said.

Rodgers has also produced for David Bowie and Mick Jagger as well. He also worked with Prince when he invited him (Prince) to the stage to play guitar on the 1983 hit single “Let’s Dance.”
Rodgers once shared that having the luxury to spend time with both Prince and Bowie is an amazing feeling.
“I love and miss them both,” he added.
