Famous actor, John Beasley sadly passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at age 79. He died following complications after undergoing liver tests in a hospital in his hometown, Omaha. He was 79 years old.

He was best known for his role in the 1993 film Rudy. He also starred in The Mighty Ducks in 1992 as Jesse and Terry Hall’s dad. One of his most popular tv roles was as Irv Harper in the WB series Everwood.

In 2004, he appeared in the remake of Walking Tail. Beasley also appeared in the TV Land sitcom The Soul Man which aired its fifth and final season in 2016.

His son, Michael Beasley, announced his death officially via social media.
“I lost my best friend today. They say you shouldn’t ever meet your heroes because they don’t turn out to be who you thought they were. This is so wrong. My hero was my father. Thank you for everything,” he wrote.
