Glen Kuiper is a highly respected sports broadcaster and announcer. Glen Kuiper did not play professional Baseball.

Glen was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 10th round (243rd overall) of the 1982 amateur entry draft out of community college. However, he declined and continued his education.
He later attended the University of New Orleans before spending two years in minor league baseball as an infielder (primarily at 2B) with the Spokane Indians and Erie Cardinals.
He moved to the Bay Area in the late 1980s and earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting from San Francisco State University.

In 2004, Kuiper joined the Oakland Athletics broadcast team as the play-by-play announcer on the team’s radio broadcasts.
Kuiper’s broadcasting career has not been limited to baseball. He has also called games for the San Francisco Giants, Sacramento Kings, and Golden State Warriors, among other teams.
He has won several awards for his work, including the Northern California Emmy Award for Best Sports Broadcast in 2003 and the Associated Press Award for Best Sportscast in California in 2006.
