Drederick Rubin Irving is an American former professional basketball player who spent two seasons in the Australian National Basketball League. He was born on January 11, 1966.

Irving’s first wife was Elizabeth. At Boston University, where they initially met, Elizabeth was a volleyball player.
She passed away in 1996 due to an illness, leaving behind her daughter Asia and son Kyrie. They were brought up by Irving with the aid of his sisters.

Although Elizabeth was raised primarily in South Dakota and Washington, she was actually born in St. Paul, Minnesota.
