Did Dr Conrad Murray lose his medical license?

Conrad Robert Murray is a former cardiologist from Grenada who had his medical license revoked after being charged with the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson.

Dr Conrad Murray was Michael Jackson’s personal physician at the time of his death in 2009.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, just weeks after hiring Murray, as a result of a lethal dose of propofol administered by Murray.

Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter in February 2011. Murray went on trial in Los Angeles on September 27, 2011, and was convicted of involuntary manslaughter on November 7, 2011.

His bail was revoked, and he was remanded in custody until his sentencing on November 29. He received the maximum prison sentence of four years.

Dr Conrad Murray’s Texas medical license was revoked, and his California and Nevada licenses were suspended.

Murray was granted parole on October 28, 2013, after serving two years.

Inside Edition reported in 2016 that Murray was “still visiting patients,” despite Murray’s claims that he does not charge patients for his services, is only “providing a consultation” without prescribing medication, and thus “is not breaking the law.”
