Chris Finch’s journey in basketball started during his college years. He is a 1992 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. During his time at the college, Finch made significant contributions to the basketball team and earned recognition as an NCAA Division III All-American in both 1991 and 1992.
In 1991, Finch played a pivotal role as one of the best defenders in Division III, helping lead the F&M Diplomats to the NCAA Division III championship game in Springfield, Ohio. Although the team fell short in the championship game against Wisconsin–Platteville, Finch’s impact was undeniable.
His impressive college career is reflected in his standing among the school’s all-time leaders in various statistical categories, including points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals.

Following his collegiate success, Chris Finch transitioned to playing professional basketball in England. He commenced his playing career with the Sheffield Forgers, a team in the then-second tier of British basketball known as the National Basketball League.
