In the first period of Game 3 of the Western Conference Second Round at Enterprise Center on Saturday, May 21, Jordan Binnington suffered a lower-body injury for the St. Louis Blues against the Colorado Avalanche.

At 6:45 p.m., Binnington was knocked down by teammate Calle Rosen and Avalanche player Nazem Kadri, who was battling for a rebound. No penalty was called In this play.

Binnington attempted to shake off the injury at first, but he appeared to be in discomfort as he moved from side to side in his crease and skated off the ice.

Kadri explained. “I was simply sitting behind him, poking it with my stick, and I believe their defensemen connected with me and shoved me into him. So, if that hadn’t been the case, I doubt I would have struck him at all. It’s a bouncing puck. I’m just trying to get it out there.”

St. Louis was up 1-0 at the time before losing 5-2. Colorado is up 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
