Popular Houston rapper, Big Pokey has sadly passed away while performing on stage. His death was confirmed upon arriving at the hospital.

“Justice of The Peace Tom Gillam III has confirmed that Houston Rapper Milton Powell, better known as Big Pokey passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital,” CBS affiliate KFDM reported.

A video of him collapsing was circulating on the internet, however, it was taken down shortly after after serious outrage online. He was 45.

“Y’all, we gotta have a code. RIP Big Pokey. Y’all need to stop putting people’s last moments on the internet. Nobody needs to see it that wasn’t there to see. It’s made disrespectful,” a fam angrily shared after his collapsing video surfaced online.
Big Pokey started his career in the entertainment industry with Houston producer, DJ Screw in the early ’90s, releasing songs on many of DJ Screw’s mixtapes. He was featured on Screw’s mixtape June 27th Freestyle which became a landmark album in chopped and screwed hip hop.
