Did Axl Rose take over ACDC?

Axl Rose did not take over ACDC.  However, Brian Johnson, the frontman of rock heroes AC/DC, was replaced by Guns N’ Roses vocalist Axl Rose in 2016 following a severe hearing issue.

Axl Rose has been named one of the greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone and NME. Rose has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses.

In September 1991, Guns N’ Roses released Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, which debuted at No. 2 and No. 1 respectively on the Billboard 200.

Axl Rose performed with Elton John on April 20, 1992, at The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium singing Bohemian Rhapsody as a duet with Elton and also sang “We Will Rock You”.

In November 1988, Guns N’ Roses released the stopgap album G N’ R Lies, which sold more than five million copies in the U.S. alone.

In 2018, Axl Rose appeared in an episode of New Looney Tunes as himself, singing an original song “Rock the Rock”.
