Diane Neal, known for her roles in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” has two older sisters. She comes from a family of three daughters.

They were born to Colleen Neal, a math teacher, and Christopher Neal, a federal attorney.
Her journey has been a colorful mix of modeling, acting, and activism. Initially, she ventured into the world of modeling, landing contracts with renowned brands such as Shiseido and Pond’s after leaving college in Hawaii.
Transitioning to acting, she honed her craft through workshops and secured roles in notable films like “The Fugitive” and “Payback.” However, it was her portrayal of Officer Casey Reese in “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” that propelled her into the spotlight.

Beyond the glitz of Hollywood, Diane is a fervent advocate for social justice. Co-founding the Full Disclosure Project, she strives to rectify wrongful convictions and address issues surrounding mass incarceration, drawing from her own encounters with the criminal justice system.
Despite her busy schedule, Diane pursued further education, earning an associate degree from Harvard University’s Extension School in 2018.
Today, she continues to grace screens, most recently appearing in the Netflix hit series “Orange Is the New Black” in 2019.
