Diana Coupland Early Life

Diana Coupland was born in Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire in 1928, as an only child.

Her parents, Elsie and Denis Coupland, moved to London when Diana was 18.

Diana began singing at age 15 and when she moved to London, she became a resident singer at Mecca’s Tottenham Court Road ballroom.

She was lead singer of the 1940s and 1950s, while at the Dorchester Hotel and the Savoy Hotel.

Diana was famous for appearing in the sitcom Bless This House, between 1971 and 1976.

Diana was 78 at the time of her death.

She was born on March 5, 1928 and passed away on November 10, 2006.

Diana battled heart-related problems for a long time. She had undergone a heart surgery but failed to recover.
