Diana Coupland, an English actress and singer, died at the University Hospital in Coventry in November 2006, aged 78, after failing to recover following an operation to resolve long-term heart problems.

Diana was best remembered for her role in the sitcom, Bless This House, as Jean Abbott, the wife of Sid James’ character Sid, which she played from 1971 to 1976. She made her television debut in the 1961 episode of Emergency-Ward 10.

She also dubbed the singing voices of actresses who could not sing, including Lana Turner in Betrayed, and most famously, was the playback singer for Ursula Andrea’s dubbed performance of the sing “Underneath the Mango Tree” in the first James Bond film, Dr No.
She married Marc Miller, a producer in 1980.
