Denny Doyle was an American professional baseball second baseman who played for the Philadelphia Phillies, California Angels, and Boston Red Sox in Major League Baseball (MLB).

Doyle played baseball and basketball at Morehead State University. He signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies after being passed over in the 1965 MLB draft.

Denny Doyle made his major league debut with the Phillies in 1970. Before the 1974 season, he was traded to the Angels, and on June 14, 1975, he was traded to the Red Sox.
He took over second base for Doug Griffin and hit.310 in 89 games. Mr. Doyle started all ten postseason games, hitting safely in nine of them.
Doyle appeared in 944 MLB games between 1970 and 1977, finishing with a.250 average, 16 home runs, and 237 RBIs.
