Dead Bodies On Everest: Are there still dead bodies on Everest?

305 individuals have died attempting to climb Mount Everest as of January 2021. The majority of the bodies have yet to be discovered on the mountain. Some of the victims have never been located, while others serve as frightening “markers” along the path, while others are only discovered years later when the weather changes.

Though the number of people who have died on the mountain is high, Everest summits have a death rate of roughly 3%. That means one out of every thirty-three summits dies.

However, there have been a few significant efforts and successful body recovery from Everest. Many people believe it is the appropriate thing to do, and it is sometimes supported by relatives, tour firms, or governments.

It is customary to either transfer the bodies out of sight or push them over the side of the mountain instead of bringing them back down.
