D’banj Proves He Still Got It, Delivers Electrifying Performance at Trace Live

D’banj mesmerized his fans with an electrifying performance at Trace Live, commemorating his 20th anniversary in the music scene.

Known for his vibrant stage presence, D’banj, also known as ‘The Entertainer,’ showcased his enduring passion for performance, delighting fans at Terra Kulture Arena, Victoria Island.

The concert, marking two decades in the music industry, was an unforgettable evening, blending nostalgia with fresh enthusiasm.

Hosted by Lasisi Elenu, the event kicked off with light-hearted banter by the content creator, joined by stand-up comedian Pencil, while DJ Consequence kept the energy high with Afrobeats hits. Nas Boi then took the stage, setting the mood with his anthem “Umbrella.”

D’banj made a grand entrance, backed by his impressive 14-piece band, featuring Grammy Award-winner Lekan Babalola and acclaimed guitarist Fiokee. They embarked on a musical journey through D’banj’s career, starting with his breakout hit “Mobolowowon,” earning cheers from fans of all ages.

Impressed by the multi-generational love for his music, D’banj paused his performance to acknowledge the impact of his songs across generations. “I see Gen Zs in the building and everyone singing along to Mobolowowon”. He then unveiled his upcoming album “The Entertainer (The Sequel)” and treated fans to previews of tracks like “Taya” and “Since 04.”

The concert also featured performances by Reekado Banks and intermittent hype by D’banj’s official MC Jimmy.

D’banj expressed gratitude to Trace for organizing the event and teased upcoming initiatives, including a global city tour and collaborations with African talent.

Through partnerships with D’Kings Men Media Limited and The Temple Company, D’banj plans to celebrate African talent and empower artists.
