Tejera passed away on December 23, 2022, after suffering a heart attack. He was aged 37.

Tejera is regarded as “one of the kindest and brightest lights,” a man who “would move heaven and earth” to tell a good story, and someone who was “sharp, thoughtful, unflappable, and fun.”
