Who Is David Thewlis?
David Thewlis is an English actor known for appearing as Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter franchise, and Ares / Sir Patrick Morgan in Wonder Woman.
Born on March 20, 1963, in Blackpool, England, Thewlis began his acting career in the 1980s, making his film debut with the 1987 production Little Dorrit.

Afterwards, he went on to appear in several other films like “Sweet, Naked, Black Beauty, Restoration, James and the Giant Peach, Dragonheart, and Seven Years in Tibet.”

Other films he starred in include “Kingdom of Heaven, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, War Horse, The Theory of Everything, Anomalisa, I’m Thinking of Ending Things, and Enola Holmes 2.”
On television, Thewlis starred as V. M. Varga in the season 3 of FX’s Fargo, and voiced Shame Wizard in the sitcom Big Mouth. He also acted in the HBO miniseries Landscapers, and The Sandman.
In 2025, Thewlis will starr as Peylak in the upcoming American epic science fiction film Avatar 3 & Avatar 4.
