About David Ribbans
David Ribbans began playing as a lock for Top 14 club Toulon in 2023.
The South African-born player had his collegiate career at Somerset College, and later joined the Western Province Rugby Institute upon completion.

Ribbans turned professional in 2015 with the Western Province, where he ended up playing for one season. He had appeared in seven games and scored five points with the team.

In 2017, Ribbans began playing for the Premiership side Northampton Saints, and became a first-team contender with a hat trick. He made 124 appearances and scored 95 points for the club.
Internationally, Ribbans additionally represents England at various tournaments. In 2014, he joined to the Western Province U19 squad and participated in the Provincial Championship.
In 2020, Ribbans was called up to join the senior England training squad, where he has scored eight points so far for the country.
