David Porecki receives an average salary of $150, 000 as a rugby union player for the Waratahs in Super Rugby and the Australian national team, the Wallabies.

In 2016, David Porecki left Saracens to join London Irish and in his first season at the club was part of the side that defeated Yorkshire Carnegie in the RFU Championship play-off final to win promotion back to the Premiership.
In his first season at the Saracens club, David Porecki made 16 appearances. In July 2020, it was confirmed that David Porecki would return to the Waratahs for their Super Rugby campaign.

On 2 July 2022, David Porecki made his debut for Australia starting in a win against England at Perth Stadium. In his 22/23 Super Rugby Pacific season, Porecki played 11 matches for Waratahs scoring 3 tries.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, David Porecki has been named in the training squad for Australia. David Porecki made one brief appearance off the bench for Waratahs against Cheetahs during the 2015 Super Rugby season.
