David Jacobs (writer) Cause of Death

American television writer, David Jacobs has been reported dead. According to sources, he died from complications from a series of infections. He had been battling Alzheimer’s disease in his later years.

Born on August 12, 1939, he was educated at Baltimore City College High School and also received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. After graduating, he moved to New York City and worked as an illustrator and researcher for Grollier’s Encyclopedia.

Jacobs went on to become a freelance writer on notification articles and worked closely with architect and inventor Buckminster Fuller. He also wrote a children’s book and also co-wrote the non-fiction book Police, a Precinct at Work.

He is famously known for writing and producing some of the longest-running American soap operas Dallas and Knots Landing. Dallas aired for a total of 14 seasons which had 357 episodes while Knots Landing aired for 344 episodes in total.

Jacobs was also known for contributing to several movies and TV shows including Kingston: Confidential, Family, Secrets of Midland Heights, Behind the Screen, Chicago Story, Paradise, Homefront, Bodies of Evidence, Four Corners, Bodies of Evidence, and more.
