The beginning of David’s commitment to education and service was his time at San Diego State University. It was clear that David Dollar had dedicated his entire life to the city of Brookings and its residents.

He had a strong belief in the ability of volunteering to improve lives, and he looked for any chance to put that belief into practice. David was a committed citizen who offered his time for a variety of organizations.
