Carolyn Zeifman was the wife of David Cronenberg a Canadian filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor.

Carolyn Cronenberg met David Cronenberg in 1979 while working as a production assistant on one of his early films, Rabid. The couple were married from 1979 until her death in 2017.
Carolyn Cronenberg was born on August 22, 1950. She was a cinematographer and producer, known for The Brood (1979), A Dangerous Method (2011) and Rabid (1977)
Carolyn worked as an editor on her husband David Cronenberg’s films such as The Brood and Fast Company. Carolyn Cronenberg then took a break to raise their three children in the 1980s and 1990s.

She went on to direct Acts of Violence, a 2006 behind-the-scenes documentary about violence depictions in David Cronenberg’s A History of Violence, a mob drama starring Viggo Mortensen.
Carolyn Cronenberg directed the Cannes short film Too Commercial about her husband bringing A History of Violence to the festival. She died on June 19, 2017, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada after an undisclosed illness.
