David A. Arnold, an American stand-up comedian, sitcom writer, producer, and actor has died. He was born on March 15, 1968 and died September 7, 2022 at age 54.

Arnold started performing in 1997 and till his death, he performed;
- At the Canadian Montreal Comedy Festival,
- On Jamie Foxx Presents Laffapalooza (Comedy Central) with Jamie Foxx and Cedric the Entertainer,
- On the Tom Joyner Show,
- On Baisden After Dark,
- On Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen,
- On ComicView (BET),
- On the Mo’Nique Show (BET),
- On Entourage (HBO) and
- On Def Comedy Jam.

Arnold was also an accomplished writer and producer. He produced the Netflix revival series Fuller House and wrote episodes of several comedy shows, including;

- The Rickey Smiley Show (TV One),
- Raising Whitley (OWN),
- Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS) and
- The Tony Rock Project (MyNetworkTV).
In 2021, Arnold created the Nickelodeon show That Girl Lay Lay and served as showrunner for the series and also appeared in several television series including;
- Meet the Browns,
- A Series of Unfortunate People and
- The Tony Rock Project.
Arnold had his own stand-up comedy special on Netflix, David A. Arnold: Fat Ballerina and another 2022 Netflix stand-up comedy special, which premiered July 19, 2022 called It Ain’t For The Weak.
Arnold is survived by his wife Julie L. Harkness, two daughters and sister Tammi Carson and Devaki Youngblood and they are yet to release details on his funeral.
