Kramp’s journey into public service began at the municipal level, where he served as a councillor and deputy reeve in Madoc, Ontario.

His experience spanned across various sectors, including retail, hospitality, and even law enforcement with the Ontario Provincial Police.

His political career saw him elected as the Conservative Member of Parliament for Prince Edward-Hastings in 2004, where he championed issues such as rural development and agriculture.

Later, he transitioned to provincial politics, representing Hastings-Lennox and Addington as a Progressive Conservative Member of Provincial Parliament.

Beyond his official duties, Kramp was deeply involved in community initiatives, from organizing junior hockey tours to running a restaurant with his wife. This personal touch endeared him to his constituents and transcended party lines.

Tragically, Kramp passed away on February 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service.

His wife, Carol Ann, continues to play a vital role in the community, while their daughter, Shelby Kramp-Neuman, carries on the family’s tradition of political engagement as the federal Member of Parliament for Hastings-Lennox and Addington.

Kramp’s legacy lives on through his family and the impact he made on his community.
