Darya Dugina: Who was Alexander Dugin’s Daughter?

Darya Aleksandrovna Dugina was a Russian ultra-right political activist and the daughter of political philosopher Aleksandr Dugin. She was born on December 15, 1992.

Darya Dugina was an outspoken supporter of Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. She specifically stated that the evidence of Russian army killings of Ukrainian civilians was staged.

She was sanctioned by the West earlier in 2022, and her vocal support for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was described as contributing to online disinformation about Russia’s invasion.

Darya Dugina died on 20 August 2022, at the age of 30, in the settlement of Bolshiye Vyazyomy outside Moscow, when her car exploded.

She was driving to Moscow after attending a government-sponsored “anti-fascist” event in support of the Ukrainian war.

According to investigators, an explosive device was planted in a car. Ukrainian officials denied any involvement.

It’s unclear whether she was specifically targeted or if her father, who was supposed to travel with her but changed cars at the last minute, was the target.
