Revis was known for his exceptional skills as a shutdown cornerback, earning him the nickname “Revis Island.” He played college football at the University of Pittsburgh before being selected by the New York Jets in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
Throughout his NFL career, Darrelle Revis was widely regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the league. He was known for his outstanding coverage skills, quickness, agility, and ability to read opposing offenses.

Over the course of his career, Revis also had stints with other NFL teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and Kansas City Chiefs. In 2014, as a member of the New England Patriots, Revis won his first Super Bowl championship.
On July 18, 2018, Revis announced his retirement from the NFL after 11 seasons. Darrelle Revis was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
