Darnell Nurse is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL).

Darnell Nurse and his wife have a son together. Their son Aiden Wolfe Nurse was born on May 25, 2021.

Darnell Nurse was selected by the Oilers seventh overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. After being drafted, Nurse continued to play in the OHL for one more season before making his debut with the Oilers in 2015.

In addition to his success in the NHL, Nurse has also represented Canada in international competition. During the 2011-12 season, he was named to the Tournament All-Star Team and won a bronze medal with Team Ontario at the 2012 World U-17 Hockey Challenge.

Darnell Nurse was one of only four underage players to compete for Team Canada at the 2012 IIHF World U18 Championships, winning bronze.

During the 2012-13 season, he was a member of Team Canada, which won gold at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament. Darnell Nurse was also invited to compete in the 2013 CHL Top Prospects Game.
