Danny Gokey Children: Meet Daniel Emanuel Gokey, Victoria Isabella Gokey

Daney Gokey and his wife, Leyicet Peralta, have welcomed four children including Daniel Emanuel Gokey, and Victoria Isabella Gokey.

Their first child, was born on January 20, 2013. Their second child came on November 28, 2014; their third was born on August 29, 2017. Their fourth child was born on Gokey’s first wife, Sophia Martinez’s birthday – August 16, 2019.

Sophia Martinez had died of a congenital heart disease.

She had undergone series of surgeries, but eventually passed away in 2008, just four weeks to Gokey’s appearance on American Idol.

Sophia and Gokey were high school sweethearts who had been married for only four years before her demise.

In honour of her memory, Gokey set up the Sophia’s Heart Foundation, with branches in Milwaukee, Nashville, and Sacramento, to cater for homeless children and needy families.

Gokey’s music career has seen him win many award nominations, including Grammy nominations for his work in the Christian music genre.

Some of his hit singles include “We All Need Jesus”, “Stand in Faith”, “He Believes in You”, “Agradecido” and “Do for Love”.
