Dana Carvey parents: Meet Bud Carvey and Billie Carvey

The Master of Disguise actor Dana Carvey was born to his parents, Bud Carvey and Billie Carvey.

Bud and Billie were teachers before they passed on in 2016 and 2014 respectively. They were both married for 66 years.

Who Is Dana Carvey?

Dana Thomas Carvey is an actor, stand-up comedian, screenwriter, and producer most famous for spending seven seasons on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1986 to 1993.

Born on June 2, 1955, in Montana, USA, Carvey obtained his first degree in broadcast communications from San Francisco State University.

He shot to fame in 1986 when he appeared as part of the cast on NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Carvey had won five Primetime Emmy Award nominations back-to-back, and an Emmy Award for appearing in seven seasons on SNL.

Consequently, he returned to host SNL four times, in 1994, 1996, 2000, and 2011.

Carvey is a popular face in many comedy films including Tough Guys, Opportunity Knocks, Trapped in Paradise, and The Master of Disguise, Wayne’s World, and its sequel Wayne’s World 2.

After a brief hiatus from acting, Carvey returned to the screens in 2002, starring in the spy comedy The Master of Disguise.

In 2004, he was rated 90 on “Comedy Central’s list of the 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.”

In 2022, Carvey began co-hosting the podcast “Fly on the Wall” together with SNL alum David Spade.
