Damar Hamlin was injured during the Bills’ Week 17 game against the Bengals on January 2, 2023.

Damar Hamlin tackled Cincinnati wide receiver Tee Higgins, got to his feet and then crumpled to the ground.
Medical personnel rushed onto the field to perform CPR. He was also said to have needed an automated external defibrillator (AED) on the field.
According to ESPN, he was placed on a backboard and stretcher and was given oxygen as he was loaded into an ambulance.
According to FOX19’s Joe Danneman, the ambulance took Hamlin out of Paycor Stadium at 9:25 p.m. and took him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Several NFL teams also tweeted that they were sending their prayers to Hamlin, his family and the Bills. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes tweeted, “Praying hard.. please be okay man.”
The National Football League is yet to provide an update or further details on Hamlin’s condition.
