Dallas Austin is a musician, songwriter, film maker, and record producer, known for several hit songs such as “The Boy is Mine” from Brandy and Monica, and TLC’s “Creep.”

Born on December 29, 1970, in Columbus, Georgia, United States, Austin is the founder of the record labels Rowdy Records, Limp Records, and Freeworld Entertainment, which eventually folded up.

Since he began his musical journey, Austin’s tracks have never ceased to rank tops on the Billboard chart.

He has also worked with other sensational artistes like TLC, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Aretha Franklin, and George Clinton.

Austin had also set up a personal recording studio tagged D.A.R.P. – “Dallas Austin’s Recording Projects and later renamed UAMG Studios, that is, “Urban Angels Music Group.”

Austin plays the Keyboard, drums, harmonica, and the guitar. His genre of music cuts across hop hop, R&B, and pop.

Austin is the brain behind Madonna’s 1994 album Bedtime Stories.
