Dakolé Daïssala was a Cameroonian politician and the President of the Movement for the Defense of the Republic (MDR), a political party based in the Far North Region of Cameroon.

Dakolé Daïssala passed away on August 9, 2022. The cause of his death is yet to be communicated by his family.

From 1992 to 1997, he was Minister of State for Posts and Telecommunications in Cameroon’s government; from 1997 to 2002, he was a Deputy in the National Assembly, and from 2004 to 2007, he was Minister of Transport.

Dakolé Daïssala was appointed to Cameroon’s Senate by President Biya in May 2013. He was one of 30 senators appointed by the president; the remaining 70 senators were elected indirectly.

Biya appointed three senators from each region, with Dassala being one of three from the Far North Region.

When the Senate Bureau was elected on June 12, 2013, Dassala was appointed Secretary. He served in the Senate from 2013 until his death.
