Dai Jones Cause Of Death: What Has Happened To Dai Jones?

Dai Jones, a Welsh television personality, died at the age of 78, it has been confirmed.

The well-known personality was best known as the host of S4C’s farming show Cefn Gwlad, which he has fronted for more than 35 years, but he also hosted entertainment shows Noson Lawen and Sion a Sian.

Viewers and residents of Wales, particularly those involved in agriculture, knew him as Dai Jones Llanilar, his home village in Ceredigion. He also covered the Royal Welsh Show for Rasus and S4C’s Y Sioe Fawr.

Jones retired from presenting in 2020 due to health reasons, and at the time, presenter Elinor Jones, who has worked alongside him, said: ”He is without a doubt the most valuable asset S4C has ever had.”

The broadcaster was born in London in 1943 but relocated to Ceredigion with his family of Welsh farmers when he was three years old.

Evans of S4C stated: “Dai, although being born in London, was as close to rural Wales as it is possible to be, but he appealed to everyone, rural and urban alike.
