Dafne Schippers is a well-known runner who was born in Utrecht, Netherlands, on June 15, 1992. Dafne is also widely recognized for her career as a competitor in the sprinting and track & field heptathlon competitions. She set the European record for the 200 meters at the 2015 World Championships, winning the gold medal in the race in 21.63 seconds.

At the 2010 World Junior Athletics Championships and the 2011 European Athletics Junior Championships, Schippers initially competed in the heptathlon and won gold medals in both events. In the 4 x 100-meter relay at the 2010 World Junior Championships, she and her colleagues Loreanne Kuhurima, Eva Lubbers, and Jamile Samuel took home the bronze medal. She participated in the heptathlon and the 4100 meter events at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
