DaBaby has not been arrested. However, the American rapper is facing both a criminal charge and a civil lawsuit over a 2020 incident where he allegedly sucker-punched a rental-property owner.

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, known professionally as DaBaby allegedly attacked a property manager during a music video shoot at a Los Angeles mansion. The property owner Gary Pagar, was assaulted by his crew and lost a tooth in the process.

According to Gary Pagar who filed a lawsuit against DaBaby in February 2021, the rapper and his associates had violated the terms of their lease agreement. The two parties agreed not to allow over nine people on his property, due to Covid-19 protocols, however, DaBaby brought in over 40 people for the music video.
Los Angeles County court documents confirmed that DaBaby face felony battery charges stemming from the incident. DaBaby hails from Cleveland, Ohio, the United States of America and gained mainstream prominence in 2019.
