Cyrus Mistry who succeeded Ratan Tata as chairman of Tata Sons has been killed in a car accident in Maharastra’s Palghar.

Cyrus was in the car with three other people, Jahangir Dhinshaw Padole, Anahita Pandole and Darius Pandole. They were in the Mercedes GLC car at the time of the accident.

Mistry and Jahangir Dhinshaw Padole died in the mishap while Anahita Padole ad Darius Pandole got seriously injured and were subsequently taken to a hospital.

According to the police statement Anahita, an activist from Mumbai who fought against hoardings at Marine Lines, was driving the car at the time of the crash.
Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Mercedes car. The accident happened when the car hit the road divider in the Charoti area of Palghar, 135 km from Mumbai. The accident took place on a bridge on the Surya River.
