The Boyz n the Hood actor, renowned for his roles in Hollywood classics like Jerry Maguire, was added as a co-defendant in the lawsuit filed by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones.

The amendment, filed on Monday, March 25, 2024, expands the scope of the legal battle against Combs and others, including his son Justin Combs.

The lawsuit now implicates Gooding Jr., accusing him of sexually harassing and assaulting Mr. Jones after being allegedly “groomed” and “passed off” by Combs to the actor.

The incident, as described in the amended suit, occurred on Combs’ yacht when he suggested that Gooding Jr. “get to know” Mr. Jones better and left them alone in a makeshift studio.

Allegedly, Gooding Jr. began touching and groping Mr. Jones inappropriately despite his discomfort, only stopping when forcefully pushed away.

The legal document portrays Gooding Jr. as a “fallen” actor due to previous sexual assault lawsuits and a recent guilty plea for sexual assault, depicting his alleged actions as “willful, wanton, and malicious.”

Representatives for Gooding Jr. have not yet responded to requests for comment on the accusations.

The original lawsuit, filed in February, accuses Combs of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms. Mr. Jones alleges that he witnessed and endured numerous illegal activities while working with Combs, including the distribution of drugs and firearms.

The suit further claims that Combs provided drugs and laced alcoholic beverages to minors and sex workers at his residences in California and Florida, with Mr. Jones purportedly possessing “irrefutable evidence” of these activities.
