Craig Farrell, an English professional footballer who last played as a forward in the Northern Premier League for Whitby Town passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022.

Farrell was believed to be married. However, as at the time of writing, details of his wife are yet to be unearthed.
Farrell was born in Middlesbrough and he joined Teesside club as a kid before moving to Leeds United in 1998.
However, Farrell never made an appearance for either side, but he went on to score 71 goals in 325 games for clubs including Carlisle and York.
Carlisle chairman Andrew Jenkins told the club’s website:

“I am so sorry to hear this news, Craig was such a likable young man. He impressed everybody with his attitude and he settled quickly, scoring some good goals through his first season with us.
“I think we can all agree that 39 is such a young age. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this very sad time.”
Farrell’s career also saw him star for the likes of Exeter City and Rushden & Diamonds.
Farrell finished his career with spells at Telford, Hinckley, Blyth Spartans and Whitby, retiring in February 2015 after suffering hip problems.
Farrell earlier won three caps for England Under-16s, scoring once against Slovakia at the 1999 European Under-16 Championship.
