Ross Kohn has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following his graduation, he founded Back East Entertainment where he started working as the company’s producer and managing partner.
Ross Kohn was employed at Back East Entertainment for over five years from January 2004 to May 2009. He later worked for several companies, including Rhino Trading Partners LLC, GFI Group, and Balcony Partners LLC.

Ross Kohn collaborated with Mad Men actor John Hamm in the 2023 movie, Maggie Moore. He and his business partner Nancy Leopardi launched the production company Indy Entertainment in 2012.
Ross Kohn began working at Indy Entertainment as a full-time producer in March 2013 and spent eleven years tenure with the company. There he produced 21 projects, mostly TV shows.
