Presiding over the case, Justice Lydia Osei Marfo ruled on a submission of no case, stating that “no case has been made against Bossu.”
Bossu stood trial alongside Daniel Asiedu, also known as Sexy Dondon, the first accused person, on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals denied the charges before a seven-member jury.
While Bossu has been acquitted and discharged due to the prosecution’s failure to prove any case against him beyond a reasonable doubt, the court has instructed Asiedu to open his defense as a case has been established against him.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Augustus Nkrumah, the case investigator, has been discharged by the court after the conclusion of his cross-examination.
During the court session, Mr. Yaw Dankwah, the defense lawyer, requested the court to submit a no-case motion on behalf of Bossu, emphasizing that the prosecution had failed to provide sufficient evidence to support the charges against him.
The court agreed with the defense, ruling that the prosecution had not successfully made a case against the second accused person. Consequently, Bossu has been acquitted and discharged from the charge of conspiracy to rob.
In the case of Asiedu, the court determined that the prosecution had established a case against him, instructing him to open his defense and submit any witness statements or additional individuals he wished to call in the matter.
The trial has been adjourned to March 22, 2024. Asiedu is standing trial for his alleged involvement in the murder of the late MP at his residence in Shaishie, Accra, in February 2016.
