Corey Seager, a professional baseball shortstop for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB), was born in the United States on April 27, 1994. He had previously represented the Los Angeles Dodgers in MLB.

In the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft, the Dodgers picked Seager, who debuted in the big leagues in 2015. In his first two seasons in the majors, he was an MLB All-Star and the 2016 National League (NL) Rookie of the Year.
