Conrad Dobler Wife: Who Is Joy Dobler?

Joy Dobler is the wife of late NFL star Conrad Dobler.

Sometime in 2001, Joy fell out of a hammock, and as a result, she became a paraplegic.

The Dobler family spent so much on medical bills that they could afford to send their two children to college.

Pro golfer and philanthropist Phil Mickelson eventually came to the family’s aid by volunteering to sponsor their daughter, Holli’s education at Miami University, and their son, Stephen at the University of Kansas.

Who Was Conrad Dobler?

Conrad Dobler was a football guard who played for the Sr. Louis Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL).

Born on October 1, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, U.S, Dobler played college football at the University of Wyoming, before the Cardinals drafted him in the fifth round of the 1972 NFL Draft.

He spent no less than 10 years of his career in the NFL.

Dobler made three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances from 1975 to 1977.

In 1978, he was traded by the Cardinals to the New Orleans Saints, and later had a stinct with the Buffalo Bills.

He retired from the game in 1981.

Dobler was regarded as “the dirtiest player in Pro football”, after he spat on Bill Bergey and kicked Merlin Olsen in the head.

Dobler’s career was laced with serious injuries which sometimes required surgery.

Dobler passed away from an unknown cause on February 13, 2023. He was aged 72.
