Columbine Shooting Victims: How many people died in Columbine High School shooting?

On April 20, 1999, a school shooting and attempted bombing occurred at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado, United States. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, twelfth-grade senior pupils, murdered 12 students and one teacher.

Ten students were killed in the library, and two of them later committed suicide. Twenty-one more individuals were injured by gunshots, and police and civilians returned gunfire. Three more persons were injured while attempting to flee.

It was the bloodiest high school shooting in US history at the time. The shooting sparked scores of imitative killings around the world, including many more lethal ones.

In addition to the shootings, Harris and Klebold attempted to ignite multiple homemade bombs inside the school. Two bombs were planted as decoys at a different location away from the school, one of which partially exploded.

The motive is yet unknown, although they had planned the attack for at least a year and aimed to kill a significant number of people.
