Robert Clark Gregg Jr. is a screenwriter, director, and actor from the United States. He is most known for his role as Agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Iron Man (2008), Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011), The Avengers (2012), and Captain Marvel (2019), as well as the TV spin-off series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020).

Clark spent two years at Ohio Wesleyan University before dropping out and relocating to Manhattan. He worked as a bartender, a security officer at the Guggenheim Museum, and a parking valet at a restaurant. He went on to study drama and English at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he graduated in 1986.

On July 21, 2001, Gregg married actress Jennifer Grey; the couple co-starred in the Lifetime TV movie Road to Christmas. Stella, their daughter, was born on December 3, 2001. Gregg and Grey were among those who took part in the 2017 Women’s March, which took place on January 21, 2017, in Washington, D.C.
Grey and Gregg revealed on July 3, 2020, that they had separated amicably on January 18, 2020, and were in the process of divorce. Their divorce order was issued in November, and it became official on February 16, 2021.
