Christopher Dean is an ice dancer known for appearing on the ITV show Dancing on Ice in 2006 with his skating partner Jayne Torvill.

Born on July 27, 1958, in Calverton, United Kingdom, Dean began skating at age 10.

Dean and his partner Torvill later won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics and turned professional.

In 1988, Torvill and Dean were inducted into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

In 1994, the duo took home a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics.

Dean holds an Honorary Freeman of the City of Nottingham, and became an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1999.

In 2012, Torvill and Dean became ambassadors for the European Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield, England.

Dean on his own, coached Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot, the winners of the gold medal in Pair skating at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

In the same year, Dean was portrayed in the 2018 biopic Torvill & Dean, which was aired on ITV.
