However, despite the initial joy and anticipation surrounding their engagement, elopement, and parenthood, Christina Milian and The-Dream faced challenges in their relationship. Only three months after their wedding in September 2009, the couple decided to part ways.

The separation process began in late 2009, leading to the finalization of their divorce on October 23, 2011. Despite the complexities of their romantic journey, Christina Milian and The-Dream have found a harmonious co-parenting rhythm.

Over a decade after their separation, the two share a strong bond in raising their daughter, Violet. The actress expressed her pride in how they have prioritized Violet’s well-being and maintained a positive friendship. Their commitment to putting Violet first has created a foundation for a supportive co-parenting relationship.

In Christina Milian’s words, “We’ve managed… We’ve done so well. It’s been over 10 years. I’m really proud of how we’ve always put Violet first, and our friendship goes along with that as well, but we get along great.”
